Policies & Disclaimers

Last updated: 3 September 2026 · Applies to CINQ.IN and all sister ventures

This page brings together everything you should know before working with us — how we handle your privacy and data, how appointments, payments and refunds work, what our services can and cannot do, and the terms that govern our work together. Please read it carefully; using this website or booking a session means you accept these policies.

Overview

CINQ.IN (“CINQ IN”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and provides mental-health services — psychological therapy, counselling, psychiatric consultation and related programmes — from Baner, Pune, and online. These policies apply to all visitors, clients and users of our digital platforms, and to all of CINQ IN’s sister ventures.

By booking an appointment, signing a registration form, or using this website you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these policies. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the website or services.

In a crisis or emergency, do not use this website. Please call 112 (Emergency Response Support System, India), contact your nearest hospital, or reach a suicide-prevention helpline immediately. CINQ.IN does not provide crisis counselling or emergency services.

Emergencies & Crisis

  • CINQ.IN does not offer crisis intervention, emergency psychiatric or emergency medical services.
  • In a mental-health crisis, contact the Emergency Response Support System (Dial 112), go to the nearest hospital, or call a suicide-prevention helpline. These services are free.
  • Last-minute emergency sessions (non-crisis) may be arranged strictly subject to a professional’s availability and comfort, and are charged at double the standard session fee.
  • Where there is a serious and imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, we may — as permitted by ethics and law — share information with emergency services, medical professionals or family members (see Confidentiality).

Privacy Policy

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: when you book, purchase or enquire, we collect details such as your name, contact number, email address and relevant clinical history that you choose to share.
  • Automatically collected: when you browse, we receive your IP address, browser and device information to understand usage and improve the experience.
  • Session content: notes and records created by your clinician form part of your clinical file and are handled with professional confidentiality.

Consent

Providing personal information to complete a transaction, verify payment or schedule an appointment constitutes consent to use that information for those specific purposes. For secondary uses such as marketing updates, we seek explicit consent, and every message includes a clear opt-out.

Your rights & withdrawing consent

You may access, correct, update or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@cinq.in. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. We may retain clinical records for the period required by professional record-keeping norms and law, even after consent withdrawal.

Disclosure

  • When required by law, court order or legal process.
  • To protect a serious and imminent risk of harm to any person (see mandatory reporting).
  • To service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., payments, scheduling) — only as needed to deliver the service.

Payments

Payments are processed securely through Razorpay, which adheres to PCI-DSS standards. Your card details are encrypted and handled by Razorpay, not stored by us. See Razorpay’s own terms and privacy policy at razorpay.com.

Third-party services

Third-party providers collect, use and disclose your information only as necessary to perform their services and may have their own privacy policies. If you transact with them, your data may fall under their jurisdictions. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites — please review their statements when you leave our site.

Security

We apply industry-standard measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, misuse or destruction. However, no transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to maintain sessions and improve browsing. These do not personally identify you across other websites.

Children & age

Users confirm they are of legal age, or that a parent/guardian has consented on behalf of a minor. Services for minors are provided only with guardian consent, as required by law and professional ethics.

Business transfers

If CINQ.IN undergoes an acquisition or merger, your information may be transferred to the successor entity for continued service delivery.

Changes to this policy

We may update these policies at any time; changes take effect when posted here. Material changes will be highlighted. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

Data Use, Research & AI

Anonymised research & education

By availing of our services, you consent to the use of de-identified data for research, audit and educational purposes. All identifying details — including your name and contact information — are completely removed before any such use.

AI-assisted tools

We may use artificial-intelligence tools to support administrative tasks, analyse anonymised patterns, or improve our digital resources. Any AI processing of client data is limited to anonymised, non-identifiable information. Identifiable clinical data is never fed into public AI systems. AI output is never a substitute for professional judgment and is always reviewed by our team.

No sale of data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

Confidentiality & Mandatory Reporting

Everything you share in therapy is treated as confidential. Confidentiality may be broken only in exceptional circumstances, which include:

  • A serious risk of harm to yourself or to others;
  • Suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable person;
  • Involvement in, or risk of, a serious crime, including sexual assault;
  • Where disclosure is required by law, court order or professional-regulator requirement.

Clients are encouraged to report such incidents to the appropriate authorities themselves. Where a client or relative fails to act on a serious risk, CINQ.IN reserves the right to report the matter at its own discretion, in line with ethical and legal guidelines.

Appointments & Sessions

  • Session duration: individual therapy sessions are structured for 45 minutes; couples sessions for 60 minutes.
  • Extensions: sessions are charged by time. Extensions beyond the scheduled duration attract additional charges per 15-minute increment.
  • Late arrivals: sessions proceed within the remaining scheduled time if you arrive within the first 30 minutes. Arrival beyond 30 minutes is treated as a No-Call, No-Show, as shorter sessions are clinically unproductive. No time extensions are provided.
  • Advance payment: all individual sessions and packages are paid in advance.

Packages & Validity

Multi-session packages are strictly time-bound to encourage consistency in the therapeutic process. Validity is counted in calendar days from the date of purchase; unused sessions lapse automatically after expiry. Some treatments and group sessions are available only as packages — if these are not used within the validity period or treatment is discontinued, standard package rules apply and no refunds are issued for remaining sessions.

Package typeValidity period
3-session package25 calendar days
5-session package45 calendar days

Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

  • Standard notice: a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Late cancellations: cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice — a 50% cancellation fee applies.
  • No-Call, No-Show: missing an appointment without prior notice, or arriving more than 30 minutes late — treated as a full cancellation with a 100% charge.

Payments & Refunds

  • Clinic-initiated cancellation: if we cancel a session, a full refund is processed within 7 working days.
  • Client-initiated cancellation or rescheduling: not eligible for refunds (late-cancellation fees above apply).
  • Lapsed packages: sessions unused within the validity window, or packages discontinued mid-way, are non-refundable.
  • Service changes: prices, features and availability may change without prior notice; we are not liable for modifications, suspensions or discontinuations.

Client Conduct & Safety

  • Zero tolerance for hostility: hostile, aggressive or problematic behaviour leads to immediate termination of treatment, removal from the premises, reporting to authorities where necessary, and no refunds.
  • Substances: a session is cancelled immediately without refund if a client arrives under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed intoxicating substances.
  • No recording: audio/video recording of sessions without prior written consent is strictly prohibited and is grounds for immediate termination. Where consent is granted, recordings may be used only within the context agreed with the therapist — never shared or published.
  • Prohibited uses: the website and services may not be used for illegal, harmful or discriminatory purposes, or to transmit harmful code. Violations may result in immediate termination.

Communication Boundaries

  • No therapeutic advice, counselling or clinical evaluation is provided outside scheduled sessions.
  • Messages between sessions (text, email or digital) are strictly for administrative and scheduling matters.
  • Personal contact details of our professionals are never shared. Any incidental casual communication cannot be used for therapeutic purposes.
  • Professionals do not engage with or respond to client communications outside their designated working hours.
